Political Action Committee (PAC)

Through our Political Action Committee (PAC), CREDA Maryland raises funds and makes donations to politicians and candidates who consistently support our industry. The PAC helps elect individuals who have demonstrated an understanding of the importance of a strong and vibrant commercial real estate industry to the State of Maryland. It also ensures our voices are heard in Annapolis and in local governments.

PAC Trustees organize support for fair and objective elected officials who share CREDA’s interest in government that makes sense for Maryland. The CREDA PAC Trustees support politicians and candidates based on their legislative record, committee assignment, electability and the PAC’s first-hand knowledge of their position on issues important to the CRE industry.

A strong PAC benefits CREDA members in many ways:

  • It holds lawmakers accountable and supports those who back industry positions on policies.
  • It expands CRE professionals’ influence to greater numbers of politicians.
  • It handles the difficult job of prioritizing candidate contribution requests to ensure funds are spent in ways that best serve the interests of the CRE industry.

Association dues cannot support CREDA Maryland’s PAC. Members, however, can help fund the PAC through the optional $100 contribution on the annual dues invoice as well as through PAC fundraising campaigns and events.
