DESCRIPTION:CREDA Maryland and Building Congress &amp\; Exchange for our Members Only Project Tour of redevelopment of the Merriweather District in Columbia - including the newly constructed One Merriweather and the revitalized Merriweather Post Pavilion.The 68-acre crescent-shaped parcel of land located adjacent to Merriweather Post Pavilion and Symphony Woods\, known as the Merriweather District\, is envisioned as an urban live/work community\, uniquely situated in an environment of natural beauty and the focus of the next stage of the revitalization of Downtown Columbia.Downtown Columbia's transformation is underway through the approved master plan that allows for up to 14 million square feet of mixed-use development\, including 6\,250 residential units\; 1.25 million square feet of retail\; 4.3 million square feet of office space\; and 640 hotel rooms.We will start the evening at One Merriweather with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres and an overview of the Merriweather District redevelopment. Then we will take a short walk to Merriweather Post Pavilion for a behind-the-scenes tour of the venue and your chance to be a rock star onstage.
